Salt Marsh Pottery, www.saltmarsh.com, is an American hand made ceramic pottery with hand painted wild flower imprints, baby hand and footprints in ceramic tiles.  It all begins with wet clay and a vision.   Salt Marsh Pottery was founded by Betsy and JP Powel in the house they built on the edge of a New England salt marsh in 1968. Now open to the public in a renovated schoolhouse in the the pristine Village of Russells Mills at 1167 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Our pottery designs are inspired by the wayside wildflowers in the salt marshes, dunes, meadows, ditches and woodlands of this still  mostly rural area. Large areas are under conservation protection by the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust and the Audubon Society. Salt Marsh Pottery is proud to be a Business Partner sponsor of  WCAI, the Cape and Islands NPR  station.        This  region is also a part of  the Farm Coast of Southern New England and  we recommend their blog, click here.
